The existing smyths store was being relocated to a new larger store

Security and timing was crucial for the relocation so with more vulnerability came the need for a higher level of protection. Timing was a priority as the site had to be secure before any of the interior fit-out could happen.

Farrell Fabrications were approached to create a complete solution to secure the new property, this included windows, goods in covering and protection for upstairs storage space.

The interior of the store frontage was the location for the window shutters, this meant that the outside could remain inviting to shoppers without compromise to the shops security.

We manufactured and installed 3 large single phase powder coated roller shutter doors, measuring 5500mm wide by 3000mm high to cover all front windows of the store.

The goods in entrance is big enough for large vehicles this meant that a door was needed to not only secure the entrance but also to reduce the heat loss when not in use.

So we built a very large 3 phase industrial insulated roller shutter door which was powder coated externally and galvanised finish internally.

4200mm wide x 5000mm high.

The store had a mezzanine floor to enable storage of goods, this created a health and safety issue as well as a security one.

The answer was for us to build a  cage covering the opening with a sliding door for when the area was not in use and a safety pallet gate for when the main gate was open.
